Determined to expose the conspirators, Rembrandt builds his accusation meticulously in the form of the commissioned painting. Unveiling to the world what will become his most celebrated work, Rembrandt has also unleashed exacting revenge from the conspirators in question, sealing his fate in history and imminent downfall.
